The cries of one’s own heart are deafening. Tears run dry from the unchanging feeling of spiraling into chaos.
“Cough, cough,” a familiar sound to the young lady’s ears. Walking back to her grandmother’s side, she tended to a bedridden, breathing corpse.
“Is it selfish to leave?” she wondered.
Memories of vitriol flooded her mind. She sacrificed her passions for someone who lay selfishly in bed.
It was time.
“Beep! Beep!” Her eyes slowly opened to the bright sunlight.
An exhausting dream that was once reality.
The present, now a gift, is filled with ambition.
