A New Dawn for a Familiar Saga

I’ve been reflecting on writing about this topic for quite some time.

First and foremost, I first watched the Twilight series in college back in 2020, long after the initial buzz had faded. I missed the theatrical premieres, but I vividly remember the cultural shockwave it sent through my school, the cringe, the excitement, especially among the young girls in school, with most of them declaring their allegiance to #TeamJacob.

Now, in an era of modern filmmaking that embraces cultural evolution, I believe a Twilight remake is long overdue. It’s time to breathe new life into this saga, honoring the original while making it more inclusive, emotionally resonant, and, most importantly, less cringeworthy for today’s audience.

From the 2000s Fandom to Today’s Digital World

If I could go back to the early 2000s and relive the excitement of teen romance and fantasy, I would jump at the chance!
